Boston, MA - In a daring cyber-attack that shocked recruiters, unemployed “entrepreneurs”, and pretentious people writing their own words as quotes - Linkedin was forced to temporarily shut down access to its website Friday. But one group, in particular, was hurt worse than most: professors at Northeastern University’s esteemed business school - D’A’mor’e Mc’k’im.

“It was awful”, said Jerome Tibalt, an adjunct professor at D’Amore McKim. “I showed up in the morning and pulled up LinkedIn - you know - to show my students how modern workplaces operate - and nothing came up. How are students supposed to understand LinkedIn’s advanced futuristic interface if I don't teach it to them?

Other professors were forced to rapidly adjust to the classroom without LinkedIn.

“I was in the middle of a LinkedIn lesson when the website suddenly crashed,” Said Tim Eric, a Professor Emeritus at Northeastern. “But I didn’t drive two separate corporations to bankruptcy without learning how to think on my feet. I quickly adjusted the lesson header and taught an impromptu class titled ‘Hiding your Third Divorce from the Board of Directors’. I love Tenure.”

Students, however, were excited about the change in programming. Dan Barlin, a Third-Year Business Administration and Marketing student, was in class when the crash occurred.

“Professor Tibalt was sharing his screen when he suddenly started shaking and gibbering incoherently.” Said Barlin, tears streaming down his cheeks. “We could all see his LinkedIn wasn’t opening - but I was more concerned about the foam streaming from his mouth. At one point he just screamed the word ‘NETWORKING’ and collapsed from his desk.”
