Boston, MA It happens to all of us. The regret of not having reached out to a loved one or family member. What can you say? There’s a lot on your plate.

You have content to study! You have errands to run! You have liquor to down!

You make some loft promises on move-in day, and then all of a sudden a whole semester flies by. Where does all the time go?

While you may feel like a terrible family member for not reaching out to your folks, it could still be worse.

You could be talking to them every day.

Jimothy Brown faces this purgatory now, and continues to spiral deeper into it with every passing text and phone call.

For the past 5 years, Jimothy has sent “Good morning!” and “Good night!” messages to his mother on the hour without fail. Worse still, he makes sure to call her for a minimum of 5 minutes each day.

“It’s always good to catch up on daily going-ons, y’know?” Jimothy said in an interview with The Husky Husky. “She helps keep me grounded and reminds me that I’m loved.”

Disgusting.

When asked how he could bear to hear her voice everyday, Jimothy gave us a strange look. “It’s really not that much effort. It only takes like 20 minut-” At this point we had heard enough.

Do not be fooled, dear readers. While his words may suggest convenience, you could not see his eyes. His eyes, gentle and kind as they were, begged a question they already knew the answer to.

Am I a slave to the women in my life?

Yes, Jimothy. Yes you are.
